There aren’t too many people who can get away with wearing a robe and pyjamas when meeting the American President, but Prince George certainly did!
The youngster shook hands with the couple while looking seriously cute in his monogrammed dressing gown and aeroplane slippers!
According to Kensington Palace, the 2 year-old prince had been allowed by his parents to stay up slightly past his bedtime so he could thank the Obamas for their gift of a rocking horse and stuffed toys which they had sent to him as gifts during a previous trip to Britain.
Barack and Michelle Obama were visiting William and Kate’s 22-bedroomed apartment in Kensington Palace this evening for an informal dinner with the Cambridges and Prince Harry.
This is the first time the couple have entertained a head of state at their private residence and the pictures give a rare glimpse into the Kensington Palace living quarters the couple inhabit when in London.
