You wouldn’t think it but it seems Yeezy has quite the sense of humour hidden underneath the sullen expression he normally sports!
Today, Fox released a promo clip for American Idol in which Kanye West can be seen auditioning as a contestant for the show!
The spoof starts with the cameras following the star and his wife Kim into the venue as he nervously prepares for his turn before the judging panel, which consists of Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban, and Harry Connick Jr.
When Kanye steps before the judges, he introduces himself as “Kanye from the south side of Chicago,” and, inkeeping with the stereotypical style of the reality show where sob stories are ten a penny, Kanye says, “I’m originally a producer … I always wanted to rap but nobody really believed in me so I wanted to try some things out.”
Meanwhile a heavily pregnant Kim waits in the wings with host Ryan Seacrest and can be heard saying, “I’m not nervous because I do really believe in him”
It is not known what song Kanye performs, but clearly it goes down well with the judges as he leaves the audition room with a huge (and rare) smile on his face! Kim is then heard asking him, “Well, did you make it to Hollywood?’
Kim today posted the teaser on her social media accompanied by the caption ‘It’s YEEZY season! Can’t wait for you guys to see Kanye on in January.’
