It’s that time of the week again where we delve inside the beauty cabinet of a Victoria’s Secret angel!
This time around, it’s the the turn of the beautiful Alessandra Ambrosio.
The name Alessandra Ambrosio is pretty much synonymous with the name Victoria’s Secret, and, since I started the VS Beauty Diary series, I have been dying to find out what products the Brazilian beauty uses!
She always looks so beautifully groomed, even on her off-days!
Unlike her fellow Victoria’s Secret angel Adriana Lima, whose beauty diary we featured last week, Alessandra, it turns out, is a big fan of makeup and skincare products and uses plenty of them too!
Well, after lots of research, I can finally reveal what her favourites are!
Victoria’s Secret Instant Bronzing Shimmer Powder
One of Alessandra’s favourite bronzing shimmer products is the Victoria’s Secret Instant Bronzing Shimmer Powder, which is applied to her skin before she hits the runway for the annual VS show.
She also loves to use the Victoria’s Secret Instant Bronzing Tinted Shimmer Lotion as she finds it gives her skin a nice summer look.
Another bronzing favourite of Alessandra’s is M.A.C.’s Bronzing Powder.
Benefit’s They’re Real! Mascara
Alessandra loves to use Benefit’s They’re Real! Mascara because she find’s it quick and easy to apply, and likes how it “sticks to every single lash!”
Surprisingly, by her own admission, Alessandra says she is “horrible at applying eyeliner”, however when she does attempt to slick some on, she uses YSL’s Long-Wear Waterproof Eye Pencil.
Cle de Peau’s Concealer / RMS Beauty’s Lip2Cheek
On her days away from the spotlight, Alessandra likes to keep it simple.
She wears Cle de Peau Concealer as well as some RMS Beauty’s Lip2Cheek in the creamy/pink shade, ‘Promise’.
Chanel’s Long Wear Luminous Eyeshadow
Alessandra says she loves to play up her eyes when on the red carpet, and to do this, she likes to use Chanel’s Long Wear Luminous Eyeshadow.
Her colour preference is gold, though she does also like to use the taupe and black shades.
EOS’ Organic Lip Balm Spheres / Victoria’s Secret Lipstick
Given her love for dramatic eyes, it comes as no surprise to learn that Alessandra prefers to don a nude lip. Her lip colour of choice is Victoria’s Secret Lipstick inv the shade ‘Whisper’.
She has stated in the past that she finds a nude lip to be “very sexy”, and sometimes she will forgo lipstick in favour of a little lip balm over some nude lip liner.
Speaking of lip balms, Alessandra is a huge fan of EOS’ Organic Lip Balm Spheres, and says her favourites are the fruit and the mint flavours.
Joanna Vargas / Clarins
Alessandra once revealed that her “pre-show beauty secret” is Joanna Vargas’ Exfoliating Mask.
Following the mask, she applies some Clarins’ Toning Lotion With Camomille, before then finishing off with Joanna Vargas’ Daily Hydrating Cream.
She also constantly applies body moisturiser, and uses a body oil whenever she showers so as to keep her skin looking as smooth as possible.
Chloe Perfume
Alessandra is a typical girly girl and loves feminine scents, one of her favourites being, Roses de Chloe Eau de Toilette Spray.
Travel Bag
When traveling, Alessandra brings with her a simple arsenal of beauty products, consisting of Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat Radiant Touch, Soleil Tan de Chanel Moisturizing Bronzing Cream, Rodin Olio Lusso face oil and lip balm, Benefit’s “They’re Real!” Mascara, and, RMS Beauty Lip2Cheek.
Kérastase / Moroccanoil /Oribe
Considering that the signature look of an angel is shiny tumbling curls, Alessandra ensures she takes great care of her tresses.
To protect her hair from the constant styling it goes through, she relies on two products in particular, Kérastase Hair Masque and Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray, both of which she has described as “lifesavers”.
She also loves to use Moroccanoil products as she adores the scent.
As her hair is extremely straight, she uses Kérastase Volumactive Spray whenever she wants to inject some volume into it.
She takes additional care of her locks by using a 5-10 minute treatment from Kérastase once a week.
