Footballer Wayne Rooney and wife Coleen welcomed a baby boy yesterday.
The news was confirmed by the 30 year-old footballer on his social media last night when he posted a cute picture of him meeting his newborn son.
The caption that accompanied the photo also revealed the baby’s name.
Rooney wrote, “Meeting Kit for the first time. Home time now!”
Wayne and Coleen, who already have 2 boys, 6-year-old Kai and 2 year-old Klay, are expected to bring baby Kit Joseph Rooney home today.
The couple are believed to have waited until the birth to find out the gender of the baby, though it is known that Coleen was hoping to add a baby girl to their brood.
Prior to the birth of Klay in 2013, she expressed a desire for a daughter in an interview with Hello! Magazine. She said at the time, “I think a girl would complete the family but because the boys get on so well, another boy would be just as nice.’
