Last night, the 87th Annual Academy awards were held in the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. For those of you who didn’t stay up all night watching the red carpet, here’s what the nominees for Best Actress were wearing!
Julianne Moore (below), who won Best Actress for Still Alice wore custom Chanel. It took 27 workers 987 hours to make the Best Actress’ dress, which featured 80,000 “small white hand-painted resin sequins and flowers made of ivory, beige and black organza, tulle and sequins” according to Chanel.
When asked about her dress, Julianne told E!, “Karl made this for me.”

31 year old Best Actress nominee Felicity Jones wore Alexander McQueen customised by Sarah Burton and Van Cleef & Arpel’s jewellery. Although she didn’t win, her co-star in the Theory of Everything Eddie Redmayne won Best Actor.

Reese Witherspoon, who is nominated for her role in Wild, wore this simple, black and white Tom Ford, off the shoulder dress, which goes perfect paired with her effortless hair and make up.

We have chosen Rosamund Pike as our best dressed lady from the Oscars in Red Hot Givenchy. The Gone Girl actress has surpassed our expectations for her red carpet attire. Rosamund Pike really shows off her post-baby body in this number with a thigh high slit and red strappy sandals.

Marion Cotillard – Marion, wearing Dior Couture, was nominated for her role in Two Days, One Night. The ivory dress really set off Marion Cotillard’s French tan complexion. While this dress is stunning and the actress looks flawless, US Weekly have said ”Marion Cotillard’s Dior dress perfectly resembles that one sushi emoji” and someone created a Buzzfeed article containing an extensive list of what Marion’s dress resembles:

Jenna Dewan Tatum wasn’t nominated for best actress but we couldn’t help including Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan-Tatum who both looked stunning on the red carpet!
