Emma Ferrer may not be a name many of you are familiar with, but that may be about to change in a big way. Emma, who has made her fashion debut at the age of 20, is the granddaughter of something of an icon in the business; Audrey Hepburn.
Looking gorgeous on the September issue of fashion mag Harpers Bazaar, Emma bears a striking resemblance to her nan and embodies the best of her carefree spirit in doing so.
“As a child I couldn’t really relate to Audrey Hepburn, the actress. To me, she was family. When I watched ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s,’ I enjoyed it the same way any young girl would. I’ve seen ‘My Fair Lady’ and ‘Roman Holiday,’ but I suppose my favorite is ‘Funny Face.’”
The photo shoot was specifically styled to mimic Audrey’s chic fashion choices during her heyday and Emma has pulled off the look seamlessly in her first professional shoot (God bless good genes!)
In another nice twist of fate, the photographer who took the pics, Michael Avedon, is the grandson of Richard Avedon, a photographer who worked with Audrey Hepburn many times during her fashion and modelling days!
Speaking about her gran, Emma revealed that she is lucky enough to be in possession of many of Audrey’s items, including some jumpers and a childhood toy.
“All I can think of are her cashmere turtlenecks, which I adore and wear all throughout the winter, and a white antique stuffed teddy bear.”
