Just a few weeks ago, we brought you the hot beauty trends for Autumn straight from the catwalk. Minimal makeup was one of them.
Jason Wu and BCBG sported the ‘no make up’ make up look.
It seems now that this trend is being taken to a whole other level at New York Fashion Week.
Marc Jacobs show has been making headlines, because he choose to send his models, which included Kendall Jenner and Karlie Kloss, down the run way completely make up free. No mascara, lip gloss or foundation in sight.
Make up artist Francois Nars, from Nars cosmetics, wanted a totally blank canvas for this show saying “if it works with the concept, the hair and the clothes, it’s a great statement”.
Marc Jacobs show had a military, “army of girls” theme with the girls wearing mostly beige and khaki and the colour came from the set, which Nars described as the “make up”.
The team wanted to break the rules in an industry where make up is almost a rule. Girls, we salute you!
