Returning home from Marbella is never easy, but when you have a wonderfully exciting event to attend just hours after jetting in, well, it really makes up for the lack of holiday sun!

The University of Ulster Graduate Fashion Show 2014, which took place in Belfast, certainly did not disappoint! It was such a great night, and the T13 venue, which is situated in the shadow of the Harland & Wolff cranes, really added to the edgy theme of the student’s final collection show.

Honestly, it just was so inspiring to see first-hand the level of creative talent that could be produced by one university alone!

All the designs on show were so impressive that I was left seriously in awe of the unbelievable talent on the stage before me.

The aim of the annual Ulster Graduate Fashion Show is to provide a platform for Northern Ireland’s most exciting emerging young designers, and if what I saw that night is any indication of whats to come, then it seems Ireland’s future in the industry looks set to be stronger than ever!

Even though all the 3rd year fashion design students produced collections that were to die for, my favourite of the entire showcase was Fawn Miskelly.

This lady is just brimming with talent, and her skills and imagination seem to have absolutely no limit when it comes to creating wearable works of art.

I have long been a fan of Northern Ireland designers, and the Pegasus necklace I wore on the night was created by Belfast milliner and owner of Pluck & Devour accessories, Grainne Maher. Here I am with the lady herself!
