So as you may know from my Instagram, this morning I headed along to the Littlewoods Ireland S/S 16 press day.
Even though it’s so cold outside, it’s always so lovely to get into the summer spirit of things by checking out the new S/S 16 styles that are just around the corner.
On arrival, we were greeted by the lovely Littlewood’s Ireland team who brought us to an Aungier Danger Donut station so we could enjoy some of THE most amazing donut treats with tea and coffee. These donuts are something else, like donuts you’ve never seen before! They’re from a really exclusive donut pop up shop and after having tried one, I can totally see why everyone has gone crazy for them! There were Oreo donuts with marshmallow in the middle, which looked fab, but I decided to have a chocolate Nutella one with custard in middle. AUH-MAZING!
After tea, it was time to check out the Spring/Summer stock and mingle with fellow blogger friends. As most of you know, Littlewood’s stock a number of different collections, but my favourites are the Myleene Klass range, V By Very label, the Rita Ora Adidas range, and River Island of course!
River Island are actually new to the Littlewood’s Ireland website. And, as we all know, River Island is one of my favourite brands, so I was thrilled when I heard that it was going to be stocked on Littlewoodsireland.ie. It’s great that you can now order items from a variety of different brands without having to pay separate delivery fees for each one. I buy a good bit from River Island and Littlewoods Ireland so it’s great now that I can get everything under one roof… and if that’s not enough, Littlewood’s Ireland offer free delivery and returns! Such a good service.
After having a look through the new stock, which is so colourful, playful and summery, I got chatting to some of blogger friends too, which was really good to catch up. Of course we chatted cameras, pictures, editing, the usual things us bloggers chat about when we all get together!
For the day itself, Littlewood’s Ireland very generously gave us all each an outfit to wear to the event, and keep 🙂
I chose the V By Very skinny jeans in black (surprise surprise!) I just love really comfortable daytime jeans and my absolute faves are the high-waisted ones because they suck in the tummy as well as elongate the legs. I chose the V By Very ones from Littlewoodsireland.ie and I have to say they are extremely comfortable to wear throughout day.
I also chose this gorgeous long sleeved lace River Island top to wear with the jeans. As soon as I spotted it, I know it would be the perfect day time top to go with the jeans. The best thing about this top is that it can be dressed up for night time or down for day time.
Because it is absolutely freezing outside, I also chose a stylish jacket that was neither too dressy nor too casual. Again, I wanted to choose something that would be appropriate for both day and night wear so I went for this diamond padded jacket from the label V By Very. It also has a belt so it gives you a really nice hourglass shape too.
This type of jacket is perfect for over denim jeans, but would also look amazing over white jeans or leather trousers. It’s ideal for this kind of weather because it’s not too light or too heavy, it’s just really easy to wear.
All in all, I was extremely impressed with what I saw today, and I really think you guys are going to love the new style.
