Yes you read the title right – high heels and dungarees! I know this look is a little daring, and not to everyone’s taste, but I absolutely loved it… well, for a change anyway!
I’ve been trying to push myself out of my comfort zone a bit lately which is often a hard thing to do, especially if like me, you know exactly what kind of style you like.
When I was deciding on my wardrobe for the London Fashion Week Weekend event, which you can read more about here, I instantly fell in love with these River Island dungarees.
They’re sooo comfortable to wear too, and I’m definitely going to be throwing them on again soon, most likely with a pair of Adidas Superstars (I just need to find them stocked in my size…ahhh).

I originally brought these booties to wear at London Fashion Weekend, but when we all saw how laid back the style was, I just stayed in my runners. Getting ready for dinner that night, I REALLY wanted to wear these new RI Studio booties, so I just said feck it, I am going to team them with the dungarees and if they work great and if not, well who cares.
In the end I loved the chic, urban look and a lot of you guys seemed to like it too. Ok so yes, it can be a hard look to pull off, I think being in London – such a high fashion place, it worked… but if you wanted to wear these here where they would slag you for wearing a hat – haha… then maybe team them with a pair of barely there sandals?
The dungarees would go really well with a bomber jacket and barely there sandals in my opinion.
Barely there sandals such as these are a must-have for summer and trust me, you will get so much wear out of them because they go with everything, even dungarees!
