Today I wanted to show you a seriously pretty dress I got from Chicwish. I first wore it last month for my onstage beauty masterclass in Jervis and I got so many compliments wearing it.
If you have been invited to a December/January wedding, (and I know from your messages that lots of you have) then now is the time to start shopping for your dress, especially before all the sales kick in and everything is sold out.
This particular dress is so perfect for winter weddings not to mention the festive season in general. When I first wore it, I noticed how comfortable the dress was to wear. I have always adored that hourglass look so I loved that the waistband detail on this dress cinches in the waist without it feeling remotely tight or uncomfortable.
In some pictures you will see I wore a waist belt and in others I didn’t, it was just to show you the difference a little belt could make. Personally I would love to wrap a large satin ribbon band around the waist to really make it stand out and tie it in a bow at the back, but I didn’t have one handy.
You could do this if you had a big event coming up and you wanted to go all out – I think it will look stunning!

What really struck me however were the vibrant colours throughout the print. You can’t go wrong with wearing red especially during December, it’s practically the colour of Christmas! It goes without saying that a warm winter is NOT going to happen, so if you are planning on wearing this dress in December then I would suggest that you pair it with a nice wool blend belted coat or this tailored blazer, which is actually part of a really cute blazer and shorts set.
My preference would be black, but if you want to pair it with a red coat, then check out this red trench.
I have always had a soft spot for prom-style dresses like this. I just find them so timelessly pretty and feminine and I think this Jacquard dress would be particularly beautiful to wear to a winter wedding or party.
