What I Wore To The ‘Sisters’ Movie Screening!

Hi guys!

Happy Friday! 🙂

So last Wednesday night, Dylan and I went to the exclusive screening of Amy Poehler and Tina Fey’s new comedy, Sisters (which is brilliantly funny by the way! Highly recommend you go see it!)

For the event, I decided to wear some new pieces I got from Chicwish a few weeks ago – an embroidered shirt, a faux fur gilet and a colour-block over-sized scarf.

The gilet with the faux fur trim is a big favourite of mine, but I absolutely looove the shirt. I have always been a massive fan of the white shirt as it’s such a classic that you can wear to any place or event. This particular one from Chicwish is the type that would be perfect to bring with you when travelling because it’s made from material that doesn’t really crease too easily (and as someone who hates ironing, crease-free fabric is always a bonus!)

A lot of you asked about my gillet on Instagram, I love it. It’s so glam and what I really love about it is you can dress it up or dress it down depending on the occasion. Another good thing is the faux fur trim on the inside is so cosy, it’s lovely against your skin on those cold xmas nights out doing some shopping. Not only is it fab over a shirt like this, but you can even pair it over a slim jacket or jumper, and it will add a little glam 🙂

Moving on to the scarf! 🙂

This over-sized colour-block scarf has become a wardrobe staple of mine since I got it! This was actually the scarf I was wearing in the picture I posted to Snapchat the other day when Dylan and I were in the car on our way to Wexford.

When I spotted this scarf on Chicwish, I fell in love with it straight away because it kind-of reminded me of the over-sized Burberry scarf worn by Olivia Palermo and Sarah Jessica Parker. The good news is, my Chicwish scarf cost a fraction of the price of the Burberry one but still looks equally as stylish!

Now granted it does take 2-3 weeks for the items to arrive from Chicwish, but in my experience, it has always been well worth it because the pieces are so well-made. Chicwish also only stocks a limited number of each item, which is a big advantage because it means you’re guaranteed to have items that very few others will.

I have to say, I have always found Chicwish really affordable, but when I was picking out the gillet and the shirt, there was actually 15% off so they were even cheaper again!

As far as I’m aware, that sale is still on at the moment so if you want to get your hands on either of the items, then I’d recommend you move fast!
