Home and Away is one of the most beloved soaps on tv here in Ireland, and today their family of actors and actresses are offering their support to co-star Ada Nicodemou who plays Leah Patterson-Baker on the show. Ada’s son was tragically delivered still born this morning, after Ada had undergone extensive IVF to help conceive her second child.
In a statement released via Channel Seven, Ada and her husband Chrys Xipolitas said their son Harrison was delivered stillborn.
“It is with great sadness that we need to share some news with you. Our baby boy Harrison was delivered stillborn on Thursday 7 August 2014. We appreciate your love and support as we mourn the loss of our precious son.”
The 37-year-old actress announced her pregnancy in March this year. The couple struggled to conceive their first child, Johnas, before turning to IVF in 2011.
The family has asked for privacy during this difficult and extremely painful time, and they have our deepest sympathy and regards.
