Pic (c) www.peanutbuttered.com

We here at SoSueMe HQ have a very big sweet tooth which is why every so often we like to torture ourselves by looking at super-chocolatey calorific recipes!

Well as we have been battling serious creme egg cravings ever since we heard about the Cadbury Creme Egg cafe opening up in Dublin, we decided to go on the hunt for a really good creme egg brownie recipe. And oh my God, did we find a good one!

These Creme Egg brownies from the ladies over at Peanut Buttered almost had our mouths watering!

How amazing do these look? And they seem really easy to make too!

(If you’re like us and want to make them really fast, then just use the Betty Crocker Brownie mix.)

Ingredients:

2 large eggs

3/4 cup plain flour

3/4 cup light brown sugar

3/4 cup of sugar

1/2 cup good quality cocoa powder

1/2 cup melted butter

1/2 cup chocolate chips

1 tbsp vanilla paste

1/4 tsp salt

3-6 Cadbury Creme Eggs

Instructions

Pre-heat oven to 175c and grease and line a baking pan.

Sift together the cocoa powder, flour and salt in a bowl. In a mixer, blend the sugars, butter, eggs and vanilla paste before slowly adding the dry ingredients and mixing until just combined.

Next fold in the chocolate chips.

Pour the batter into the baking pan and bake in the oven for 25 mins.

While the brownies are in the oven, take a sharp knife and cut the Cadbury Creme Eggs in half.

Take the brownies out of the oven and gently press each Creme Egg half into the batter. Place the baking pan into the oven for another 10 mins, until the creme egg insides have melted.

Allow the brownies to cool down a little for 30 mins in the pan before taking them out and cutting into neat squares.

These are best eaten when soft, hot and gooey!

Thanks to the ladies over at Peanut Buttered for this fab recipe!
