Hey everyone,
So as you might know from my snapchat last Thursday – I was filming with Littlewoods Ireland.
Littlewoods Ireland had asked me to be one of their behind the scenes presenters while filming took place for their Autumn/Winter TV commercial last week and it was AMAZING.
As part of my presenting role we filmed 3 different videos and in each of these I had to talk about everything from the trends the models were wearing on set, to, my own personal favourites from the new collection on LittelwoodsIreland.ie.
It was a really exciting day for me because as most of you already know, TV is the ultimate goal for me. I want to get as much experience as I possibly can so filming with Littlewoods Ireland was just an amazing opportunity.
The set was massive. It was honestly like a full-on film production. There were hundreds of people flying around, from wardrobe, hair, makeup, models to film crew. The famed Irish photographer Barry McCall was the director overseeing the ad campaign and I can’t wait to see the finished product.
I couldn’t believe the hours that went into making a 30 second (or so) commercial. The time and effort invested is unbelievable. The team were on set at 7am, and when I left at 7 that evening, they were still filming!
And it didn’t stop there either. They were back in again early the following morning too.
It was such an eye-opener – such a phenomenal level of patience and planning goes into a TV commercial. You really have to take your hats off to people in the world, it’s manic and tiring but the rewards are sweet I would imagine.
I love TV, and I have been doing quite a bit of it over this past year. I’m nowhere near as experienced as I should be, or as I would like to be, but I’m definitely getting a lot of experience through shows like Xpose, Ireland AM and YouTube too.
I am also going to be working with another big brand soon – filming some TV work with them too, so I’m building up my skill set as much as possible.
On the day, we filmed 3 videos so I had 3 outfit changes. The first outfit consisted of blue skinny jeans with a Coast top. The second was a stunning silvery dress from the brand Little Mistress (below) and the third was a beautiful skater dress from Lipsy (photographed wearing it with the models).
I hadn’t realised until that day just how fashion forward Littlewood’s Ireland is. They have some amazing brands on the site like Lipsy and Coast, (and the Myleene Klass range is so worth checking out).
I also got to try on some footwear from Littlewoods own collection, Shoe Box. They were so comfortable, of such good quality and so affordable too. I am actually wearing them in both pictures above 🙂
I should be getting hold of the videos in next few weeks and when I do, I will show everyone the finished footage!
Have a great day guys!
