My SoSueMe Workshop – Limerick ROUND UP!

sosueme workshop

Hi guys!

Hope you’re all having a nice Monday evening, despite the horrible weather! UGH…

We got back from Limerick late last night and all I can say is, WOW what a weekend! As you know, my Limerick Workshop was taking place in the Savoy Hotel, and even though today the limbs are sore and the voice is gone, it was all so well-worth it!

I was absolutely delighted to meet all the workshop attendees throughout the weekend, and I have to say it felt amazing to spend two days in the company of such supportive, friendly and ambitious women.

There were times when I felt extremely overwhelmed by the support shown from the readers who attended the workshop. There was such a great love for SoSueMe, and honestly, you have no idea how much that means to me. Even when I think back on it now, I still feel overwhelmed by the amount of love and support that was in the room on both days. It really makes all the hard work and late nights totally worth it.

The workshop itself went wonderfully, I’m pleased to say! Guests arrived at 10am to a lovely set up of nibbles, drinks fancy goodie bags, and 4 nail techs waiting to offer complimentary SOSU file and paints to anyone who wanted their nails taken care of.

The Savoy hotel also very thoughtfully created SoSueMe Bellini’s (which were absolutely delicious!) and we now hope to incorporate those into our upcoming workshops too!

People often ask me what a SoSueMeWorkshop entails. Well, in short, it’s an extremely fun day; a place to get away from it all where you can enjoy a girly time and gorgeous treats for afternoon tea!

During the Limerick workshop for instance, Sinéad Murphy gave a wonderful makeup demo, while Rob Lipsett delivered an amazingly inspiring fitness talk that everyone loved. In fact, both Sinéad and Rob were inundated with questions throughout. The fashion show, which featured gorgeous pieces from Oasis, River Island, Warehouse and H&M also went down a treat!

During lunch, Leon the magician entertained the crowd which was so much fun. His tricks were mind-blowing, and I’m so pleased to announce that he will be joining us for some upcoming workshops!

I think everyone was delighted with the amazing goodie bag, and for this, I would like to thank our wonderful goodie bags sponsors:  KOH Coconut Water, Crownbrush UK, St Moriz, St Ives, Dove, Vaseline, Slim Sonic Toothbrush, Beverly Hills Formula, Essence Cosmetics, Walkers Biscuits, Lindt Chocolate, and Butlers Chocolates.

We also had some incredible prizes on the day, and for this, the prize sponsors deserve a big thank you. These included Newbridge Silverware who gave us some fabulous bangles from their Little Blue Box collection. Needless to say, the winners of those were over-the-moon with the stunning pieces!

I also want to say a huge thank you to St Moriz and Bodyfirst Nutrition for their fab hampers, to Instyler Ireland for their amazing styling tools, and to Roger & Gallet for their signature fragrances.

The huge success of the weekend was all down to the hard work of my wonderful my team and the staff of the Savoy Hotel in particular Clive, Shane and Jacinta who contributed immensely to the smooth running of the event. The Savoy staff couldn’t have done enough for us and they really went out of their way to ensure that everything ran as smoothly as possible.

Above all, I want to give a big thank you to Dylan, who took on the role of event manager (pre event). You wouldn’t believe how hard he has worked over the past 2-3 months to ensure that the Limerick event was a success. He invested so much time and thought into the workshop and I can’t thank him enough for his effort. I’m so lucky to have such a loving caring boyfriend who is so supportive of what I do.

A huge thank you to Leah who manages everything on the day, Jade who looks after the nail bar and check-in and my sister Katie & her friend Zoe for modelling, selling raffle tickets and just general errands for the weekend. Blessed to have a great team who I respect and love being around!

I’m getting a lot of emails about upcoming workshops. Well as most of you know, our next workshop will be held in the Athlone Springs Hotel on January 17th. Tickets, (which can be bought here), are nearly sold out too so it’s looking like it’s going to be as big as the Limerick event, but we are having just the one date!

We will then be taking the workshop to the Green Isle Hotel in Dublin during February and the date for this will be announced very soon.

We’re also currently working on dates for locations in Donegal, Cork, and Mayo and we hope to have the tickets for these on sale at the beginning of December. We got a lot of requests from people looking to buy workshop tickets as Christmas presents so we hope to be announcing all dates and releasing tickets during the first week of December.

For these workshops, the day will include a blog talk, a makeup brush demo, fashion shows, a makeup demo, fitness talk, tanning demos, and general fashion/beauty tips and tricks. Guests can also expect a free nail file and paint from one of the SOSU nail team as well as a fab goodie bag and a delicious afternoon tea.

I think anyone who has been to my workshop will agree it’s a very girly day out; a fun way to spend a few hours with friends and fellow SoSueMe readers!

If you have any questions, just pop them below!

Lots of love
