Hope you all had a nice and easy Monday! I’m honestly still on a high after yesterday, but it was straight back to work today finishing off a few things I had to do for a big shoot I have tomorrow. Exciting.
Overall I had such a great weekend, but the workshop was just the icing on the cake, so I want to say a big thank you to everyone who attended.
As always, it’s so enjoyable meeting all the SoSueMe readers and having a nice girly day out. After all, that’s the reason I started the workshops in the first place. I wanted to create a personal event where I could meet the SoSueMe readers and together have a day where we could enjoy some fashion and beauty demos over lunch.
Thank you all so much for your messages about the Athlone workshop. I’m so pleased with the feedback and I’m delighted you all had a good time.
It’s so rewarding to hear how much you guys enjoyed the day. Months of hard work are behind each workshop but the messages we receive afterwards make all those long hours worth it.
I’m pleased to say that yesterday was a huge success. We had everything from brush demos to live fashion shows to blog talks, as well as a run down of how SoSueMe first came about and makeup tips and tricks.
The SOSU Nail Bar also went down an absolute treat and there seemed to be a non-stop queue for it, which was lovely to see!
The demand for the A/W colours is still very strong and on the day, Ladies Night was the most requested shade! I’m actually wearing that colour myself at the moment.
A big thanks is also in order for the goodie bag suppliers and spot prize sponsors.
Each bag contained treats from Crownbrush UK, Cocoa Brown Tan, Beverly Hills Formula, Softsole Express, Boots, and Impress Nails.
Spot prizes on the day included a €100 voucher from Primark, an overnight stay at the Athlone Springs Hotel, a whopping €1,300 voucher for Ceira Lambert Hair Extensions for a full set of Gold Fever hair, and hampers from SO…! Fragrance, SOSU, and Essence Cosmetics to name but a few.
I want to say a huge thanks to my team for all their work and to the Athlone Springs Hotel for their hospitality.
Lots of you were asking about my makeup.
Her makeup application is unreal! She uses the spray-on foundation and the finish is so beautiful and long-lasting. It’s one I would strongly recommend for brides in particular.
I’m also delighted to announce that Fiona will now be giving workshop demonstrations starting next weekend at my Mayo workshop, showcasing airbrush makeup. I also have the wonderful Sinead Murphy (previously MAC) also doing makeup demos on the day and her tips are fantastic!!
For those who inquired, there are still some tickets available for Mayo and they can be bought right here.
So looking forward to seeing all the Mayo SoSueMe readers in Ballina next week!
And thanks again for a great weekend ATHLONE!
