So a new season is just upon us and we have been trawling through the catwalk looks to bring you our top 5 nail looks for Spring 2014! There’s a little bit of everything in there so take a look.
A Twist on The French Manicure
If you want to keep bang on trend this spring it’s time to disregard the neutral pinks and whites we think of when someone mentions a French manicure. On the catwalk, it was all about diagonal lines, sheer nails and a pop of colour for the models French manis. Bring it on!
Half Moon Manicures
Half moon manicures have been making their mark over the last few years. Recently, they have featured heavily on the catwalk, particularly with neutral colours, but we think they are particularly pretty with contrasting colours. This look can be easily achieved with nail art stickers if you’re not a pro at freehand designs.
Subtle Sparkle
All over glitter often conjures up images of a Christmas tree, so this season it’s all about a more subtle hint of sparkle. Artists recommend choosing an area of the nail to focus on and add a little bling, like on Jenny Packham’s models.
Low Key Sheers
Sheer high gloss nail colours are right on trend for this Spring. They are almost always the trend of choice for the catwalk, but this year they are predicted to be huge for everyday wear too. The shinier the better! And the best part is, they go with everything!
Stripes
Wow, this look stands out from the crowd! If you are good with a nail art pen more power to you, but definitely invest in some nail art strips if you’re not so confident but want to have a go at achieving this look at home. It could make you look like a master nail artist! Horizontal, vertical, diagonal stripes, checked- anything goes these season. Have fun!
