From a self-confessed foundation-aholic, here are my fave summer foundations and why!
1. Maybelline Fit Me

This is one of my all time favourite foundations and every time I begin to use it again, I remember why I loved it from the start. It really is the perfect day time foundation in a jar. Not only does it offer a beautiful dewy glow to the skin, the coverage is nice and buildable and it never looks cakey. Another great thing about this foundation is the diverse shade choices. With a total of x8 tonnes to choose from – you’re are bound to find the one you love. I always use either 120 for my paler days and 125 for a more bronzed look.
2. Loreal Paris True Match

Ok, another budget beauty. First of all this foundation comes in 23 shades! Yep 23, you heard that right. What I love the most about this formula is the lovely velvety feel it has on the skin and the coverage. Again buildable but never cakey and gives a nice glow to the skin as well. It wouldn’t be as dewy as Maybelline Fit Me, but that’s a good thing as the lasting power for me when powdered is really good. Really easy to blend making application super easy and very affordable too, esp when boots have their three for two offers on 🙂

Hands down my favourite foundation EVER!!! This foundation day or night creates a flawless complexion that lasts! Offering amazing coverage whilst being super blendable – this is the best foundation I’ve ever used and I go back to it time and time again! I’m actually going to use this foundation on my wedding day it’s that amazing. With 26 shades to choose from, finding your perfect match has never been so easy and wait until you see how your skin looks after using this! I bought shade 6 and 12 and I mix accordingly.
4. Estee Lauder Double Wear
Where Top Shop: Pharmacies and Department Stores
Ok so I wasn’t a major fan of this in recent months, but lately, I have used it very sparingly and I am loving it. With my skin, if I go in too heavy, it instantly looks cakey and feels sticky; you know that heavy makeup feeling on your skin, this foundation has previously given me that. However, in the last few weeks, I have started to try it again, mainly while testing foundations for my wedding and when I apply it myself in small amounts, I actually really like the coverage and finish it gives. This foundation is mainly for those who love HIGH coverage and also for those with oily skin – but I have to say… from someone who loves ‘less’ in the foundation stakes – a pea sized amount of this mixed with strobe cream is really lovely on the skin. Especially if you have constant dehydrated skin like me. Another benefit is, this foundation won’t BUDGE, so in the summer heat – you can be guaranteed staying power! Shade choices? A whopping 36 to choose from.
5. YSL Touche Eclat Le Teint
Where To Shop: Boots
Another fave and you can read my full review here as to why 🙂
