So the V word, how was everyone’s day yesterday? Hope you were all spoiled by your other half and if not, I hope you bought yourself flowers, who needs a man for that, buying flowers for yourself is always a nice treat 😉
If on the other hand, you’re a single pringle…. well hope you surrounded yourself with the girls and danced your socks off in the club or grabbed a movie. Everyone deserves a bit of TLC on the most highlighted love day of the year!
Myself and Dylan don’t really make a big song and dance of Valentine’s day, however he did buy me gorgeous flowers, very sweet. We didn’t actually book dinner because we weren’t really too bothered, but yesterday we were having lunch in a place called The Gourmet Food Parlour in Malahide and spotted a very tasty Valentines night menu.
Tapas is our favourite food and when we saw the tapas menu, 5 courses with Prosecco for €60 all in, we asked if there was a table free that night straight away, and lucky us, there was.
The food was amazing, it comes close to saying it was the nicest tapas we’ve ever had and we’ve dined in a lot of tapas bars. I highly recommend trying out one of their restaurants – you can find out more about The Gourmet Food Parlour here.
Anyway, after dinner we met with our friends and ended up heading to The Wright Venue for a few late drinks. I’m trying to be good because I am on my 8 week fitness plan, so I didn’t have too many.
In relation to my lashes last night, I was wearing my own range – SoSueMeLashes. You might remember my lashes were due to launch last year, but, due to unforeseen circumstances, I had to pull out of the deal. I was let down at the time and I was quite upset about it, but hey these things happen, and now my idea is finally back on track with the right people. I can’t wait for you all to see them!
I am perfecting the styles right now so I’m hoping to have it all signed off on very soon. I’ll keep you posted. Before I headed out for dinner, I posted a picture of my makeup and a few of you were asking about my makeup, so here is what I used.
TIP: I used my SoSueMe Brushes for this makeup application which you can purchase here.
Foundation:
My trusty Chanel Vitalumière in 40 mixed with Makeup forever HD in 123
Skin base:Â No7 Skim Illuminator. (You can read my full review here, I LOVE this stuff)
Contour:
To highlight and contour, I used the CrownBrush Corrector palette and you can read more about it here.
I then used some inglot 58 to hide my dark circles- this under eye concealer is genius.
To set the foundation:
I used the Fuschia Mineral Foundation in FAWN. You can read my review on this here.
Blush:
I used theBalm Hot Mama – it’s a gorgeous rose/gold tone!
Highlighter on cheek bones:
I used my Mary Louminzer by TheBalm
I also used some MeMeMe shimmer brick. This is like €5 or something and it’s brilliant!
Brows:
As always, Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow. You can read my review here.
To set the brows, I also used some Benefit Gimme Brow in Medium/Deep. This stuff is amazing for keeping your brows in place.
Eyes:
I used the Motives, Love Box Maven eyeshadow kit. I talked about this in my Egypt Vlog and I love it! You can purchase it here.
Liner:Â
Rimmel Glam Eyes – LOVE this liner! You can get it from Penneys for €5.99
Waterline Liner: Inglot Gel Liner in Black
Mascara: Benefit They’re Real mascara
Lips:
Lipstick:Â Rimmel Provocalips in ‘Kiss Me You Fool’
Gloss: Maxfactor
And there you have it…..
Hope you picked up a few tips!
