I’ve really missed chatting with you all here on my blog, and it feels so good to be back. Life and the hustle and bustle of business have kept me away for a bit, but hey, I’m here now!
Last night, I hopped onto my stories and decided to do a make-up demo of something super exciting – our brand-new liquid blushes from SOSU Cosmetics! 🎉 Every time I say I’m going for a “light makeup look,” I end up getting carried away because I’m still so in love with all our products. But hey, that’s what makes makeup fun, right? So, let’s dive right in!
First things first, did you catch that adorable headband I was wearing? My bad – it hasn’t officially launched yet (oops, sorry, buying department!). You’ve been messaging me about it, and I’m thrilled that you love it. While you’re waiting for the launch, we’ve got a fab headband from Dripping Gold on our website, which you can check out here. I kicked off the demo with no makeup at all, just rocking our incredible Hidden Agenda eyelashes in the stunning rose gold packaging (check them out here). You all know how obsessed I am with these lashes. They’re my go-to for those days when I want that “put-together” vibe without a full face of makeup, but they’re also amazing if you want to go full glam. I’ve been wearing mine since earlier this week, and let me tell you, they’re still going strong. Talk about longevity!
To hydrate the skin, I have been loving the Welda Skin Food. I got mine on Look Fantastic, and what I adore about it is the rich, luxurious consistency that leaves my skin feeling so hydrated throughout the day. It’s like a drink for my skin!
Over that, I then spritzed my skin with our new Hydrating Perfecting Mist. This product is the ultimate multi-purpose beauty spray. Not only does it have this heavenly White Tea scent that’s, honestly, pure bliss, but it’s also a total game-changer. Whether you’re prepping your face, setting your makeup, or just in need of a quick hydration boost, this mist has got your back! It is infused with skin-pampering Vitamin E, and it treats your skin like royalty. Plus, there’s this calming blend of White Tea, Chamomile, and Blueberry extract that gives it an extra soothing touch. It’s got a weightless, non-sticky formula that enhances your skin’s natural radiance.
To bring back that glow to my skin, I reached for our Radiance Base in the shade Glow, and let me tell you, it’s like a secret weapon in my beauty bag. Our Radiance Base is a skin enhancer that’s all about achieving that flawless, lit-from-within complexion. It’s incredibly lightweight and does wonders whether you wear it solo for a radiant, skin-blurring effect or use it as a radiant base for your makeup. It’s the key to that luminous, “glow from within” look we all crave!
To apply, I used our trusty SF101 Kabuki Brush, perfect for ensuring a seamless and even application. It’s like a match made in beauty heaven!
For foundation, I used a very light layer of my go-to CC Me In foundation in the shade 7 Almond. You guys know this is my makeup bag staple. This weightless foundation offers medium-buildable coverage, making it the perfect companion for transitioning from day to night. What truly excites me is how effortlessly it applies, blends, and builds, creating a flawless base even for those who aren’t makeup pros. But it’s not just about makeup; it’s about skincare, too. Packed with skin-loving ingredients like Hyaluronic Acid for moisture, Vitamin E for hydration and protection, and Vitamin B3 for evening out skin tones and skin strengthening, it’s like your secret skincare weapon. It also has SPF 45 protection to shield your skin from the sun’s harmful rays and a natural, dewy finish for that radiant glow we all love.
To conceal my dark under eyes (if you know, you know), I used our amazing Correcting Concealer in shade 4. This product is the first of our hidden gem products I feel deserved much more love than it got! It has a medium-buildable coverage and a lightweight, velvety texture. It’s the dream concealer. It applies and blends seamlessly, resulting in a flawless finish that lasts all day. It’s also safe for sensitive eyes, so you don’t have to worry about irritation. Plus, it’s ophthalmologically tested for that extra peace of mind. If you try this concealer, please message me and let me know how you get on. To add a touch of warmth and dimension to my face, I reached for our beloved Contour Stick in the shade “warm.” I applied it under my cheekbones, along the forehead, and on the temples to achieve my favourite contour look. Our contour sticks are an absolute game-changer! They’re incredibly creamy, easy to blend and highly pigmented. This is another makeup bag staple for me.
Now for the main event – our NEW liquid blushes in two stunning shades Rose Radiance & Peach Glow.
Let me just talk about how the formula of these liquid blushes is an absolute game-changer! These are so pigmented they might look a little intimidating at first, but honestly, please trust the process! You can apply these directly to your blending sponge or the back of your hand and dab onto the face – whichever you prefer. You can start small and build to your desired look.
These blushes bring that perfect pop of colour to your makeup game with a formula that’s all about giving your skin that natural, healthy glow. They’re packed with skin-loving ingredients like Liquorice Extract and Vitamin E, so while you’re adding that splash of colour, you’re also giving your skin some well-deserved pampering with a super lightweight formula that practically melts into your skin and blends like a dream, leaving your cheeks with a silky finish. To apply our amazing new liquid blushes, I used our Large Pro Blending Sponge. When you add water, it expands three times its original size, and it’s like working with a giant, fluffy marshmallow!
This sponge is a dream to use. Its size and texture make it perfect for achieving that flawless blend, especially when working with liquid products like our stunning liquid blushes, foundation or concealer. It ensures a seamless application. Plus, it’s so soft and squishy that it makes the whole makeup process feel like a pampering session. Makeup application has never been this delightful!
To take away any unwanted shine, here is another of our products I feel is an unsung hero. Our Face Focus loose setting powder. I use shade 01 Light. This is a sheer and weightless formula that instantly perfects the skin for a natural, soft-focus finish. Perfect for setting foundation concealer and blurring the skin on no-makeup days. The formula is zero-flashback, which means no unsightly powder marks in photos for picture-perfect skin. I apply it to any high points of my skin I know will get extra shiny throughout the day, and it lasts all day long.
And finally, to finish off the look, I added our Cherry Gloss Hydrating Lip Oil. You guys know I adore our lip oils. They’re lightweight, so your lips don’t feel sticky or heavy when applied, and they are super nourishing. Overall, it’s the perfect combination of luxury and lip care. I can pop it on, enjoy the soft, glowy finish, and trust that it’s actively working to keep my lips happy and healthy.
