Hey guys!
I can’t believe the feedback I have been receiving since I started these weekly dupe posts!
I’m so glad you’re all really enjoying them.
Of course, who doesn’t love a bargain, and the great thing about makeup is that with certain products you can most definitely afford to go cheaper instead of always having to pay top dollar, so to speak.
This week, I have a brilliant dupe for you guys!
MAC fans in particular are going to LOVE this. I have always been a huge fan of the MAC lip liner shade ‘Whirl’. This was also Kylie Jenner’s number one favourite lip liner before she brought out her own range of lip liners. Thanks to Kylie’s influence, Whirl lip liner became so in demand that MAC ended up bringing out a lipstick in the same shade!
MAC lip liners cost around €17, but I have found the perfect dupe for Whirl and it’s only … €1.50!
It’s from the Penney’s cosmetics range, P.S, and the shade is called ‘Nude’. I’ve bought about 5 or 6 of them since I first used this!
I actually first came across this liner by accident. A couple of months back, Penney’s had given me a package of 3 products for each of the goodie bags in one of my workshops. At the end of the workshop, there was one pack left over so I used it myself.
One of the 3 products in the pack was the lip liner and honest to God, I fell head over heels for it the moment I used it.
It was just a really great liner and went on so well, but it was only as I used it more and more that I began to see its resemblance to Whirl.
I actually prefer the Penney’s liner to the MAC one because it’s much waxier and applies better. In my opinion, the PS liner is much more smooth. It’s also really long lasting as well which I was pretty shocked by. After all, you don’t expect a €1.50 lip liner to last very long.
I found the pigment of the PS liner a little bit better than the MAC one because the PS liner is that bit softer and waxier in texture.
It also blends better when applied to the lips, and in my own opinion, is just a better lip pencil overall.
I have been mentioning it in my workshops since I started using it and anyone I have mentioned it to who has tried it seems to be in love with it as much as I am!
MAC lovers who swear by Whirl need to try the nude liner from P.S.
As a Whirl fan myself, I can honestly say you will be impressed by the resemblance.
Lots of love,
This is the post I am referring to 🙂
I made this discovery a few days ago and posted it on my instagram! I visit your blog every now and then because I believe you really do write the best content.
