My Top 5 Highlighters!

photo 5

Whenever I find a really good highlighter, I get that buzz of excitement all girls get when they start to fall head over heels in love with a new gem of a product!

I adore all types of highlighters, from powders to liquids to creams, and I find that the right one can really make a huge difference to my makeup. I have tried and tested loads of highlighting products, but there are only a certain few I rely on whenever I want to give my skin a long-lasting natural-looking dewy glow!

As SoSueMe readers regularly ask me about my favourite highlighters, I decided to put together a post featuring my top five!

Here they are:

1. The No7 Skin Illuminating Fluid – €14.25suejpg
No7’s Skin Illuminator radiance Beauty Fluid works wonders when it comes to achieving that healthy glow. It has a fab shimmer that subtly reflects the light and illuminates your skin. I find it great for using under foundation, and I apply it right after my moisturiser every morning. Once I have the foundation on over it, you can see the difference it makes.

This product also has a really clever applicator which helps prevent the product being wasted. It comes in a squeezy tube with a lock so the liquid doesn’t accidentally squeeze out. This makes it ideal for bringing with you when travelling!

It can be purchased from various Boots Pharmacies nationwide

2. The Mary Loumanizer from theBalm – €18

Ok, so this honey coloured highlighting powder is just FAB!! If you’re after that ultra glow on the tips of your cheekbones that lasts all day, then this little baby is for you! It catches the light nicely, and you only need a tiny dusting of it for a fab effect. It’s light, compact and comes with a mirror 🙂

3. The No7 Instant Radiance Highlighter – €12.95

This is a creamy highlighter that glides on so easily. You don’t even need to spend time blending it in. What I do is slick it on and then buff it out with my foundation brush. It’s also quite lightweight so it doesn’t cake. I especially love how small and compact it is too. It just fits so neatly into my makeup bag.

I like to apply it to my cheekbones, the centre of my nose, and right above my cupids bow. It also contains exactly the right amount of shimmer so the finished result is not too obvious, but instead gorgeously dewy, and very natural at the same time.

It can be purchased from various Boots Pharmacies nationwide

4. Vita Liberata Skin Perfecting Illuminisor – €37.50

f This is a great highligher if you want to enhance tanned skin or give pale skin a sunkissed glow. As well as being a highlighter, this Vita Liberata gem is a BB bronzing cream! At €37, it’s at the pricier end of the scale, but, in my opinion, it’s totally worth it.

It comes in a few different shades – I have the Latte shade – and the colour it offers is a gorgeous medium-dark bronze. I remember when I used it for the first time, a lot of people asked me if I was wearing tan on my face, when in fact, all I had done was applied a tiny amount of the product underneath my foundation!

It can be purchased from various pharmacies nationwide and www.VitaLiberata.ie

5. Inglot Sparkling Dust – €18

My ultimate fave and one I couldn’t live without!

This subtle yet highly pigmented loose highlighting powder is the perfect shade that can be used on any skin tone.

The thing I love about this sparkling dust is that it can be mixed into your foundation thus helping to create that ‘subtle natural glow’. It is perfect for highlighting your brows, cheekbones, the neckline area, shoulders and all over the body.

I’m telling you guys, this powder will add a little magic to you skin! I love it!

It can be purchased from Inglot stores nationwide

Thats my top 5 – have you any favs in there?

Happy highlighting!
