What’s In My Maldives Makeup Bag!

suzanne jackson

Hi guys! 🙂

Lots of you were asking about the makeup I wore last night after I snapchatted pictures of the products, so I thought I would create a blog post for those who aren’t on Snapchat.

I have also received a ton of questions about the Maldives and I promise I will write a full blog post about it when I get back home.

I’ll also do my very best to answer all your questions in that.

Foundation:

One of my favourite foundations is the Make Up For Ever HD Foundation.

Some of you might remember I included it in my list of my top 3 A/W foundations. For a little extra coverage, I always use Make Up For Ever’s Ultra Invisible Cover Stick Foundation over my HD foundation.

My concealer was Urban Decay’s Naked Skin. I genuinely think this is one of the best concealers I have ever used.

Highlighter & Blusher:

For highlighter, I used MAC Strobe Cream underneath my foundation. I always apply a dusting of either MAC Soft & Gentle or MAC Global Glow, but as you can see, Global Glow has a nice bronze tone to it and looks amazing on tanned skin so I decided to use that particular one last night.

For blusher, you can’t beat the shades from theBalm range. They’re amazing! I love ‘Hot Mama’ and ‘Down Boy’.

Eyes:

To prep the eyelids, I used the YSL Couture Primer in the shade Fair. This is one seriously amazing primer! Definitely a big favourite of mine. For eyeshadow, I chose two shades from the Inglot Pure Pigment range. The pigments in these are SO striking.

They really make your eyes pop, and because they have such a lovely sparkle, they’re perfect for a night out, especially at Christmas time! A small amount goes a long way too.

For my eyeliner, I used my old favourite, Rimmel Glam Eyes Liquid Liner. The liner wand in this is great for precision, and the formula is very long-lasting too. I have tried and tested so many eyeliners over the years but this is one I frequently return to.

For my brows, I used Benefit’s Gimme Brow. It gives my brows such a natural-looking finish, and it also keeps them perfectly in place too. I have been obsessed with this product since I reviewed it earlier this year (you can read the review here.) It’s such a good buy.

I’m including the Urban Decay Naked Skin concealer in the eye section because I’m often asked about under eye concealers. This one is very lightweight so it’s great for using underneath the eyes, and it blends so well into the skin too.

The mascara I used is L’Oreal Paris Volume Million Lashes. The wand in this mascara is perfect for creating definition, and the mascara formula itself is the kind that doesn’t clump. I know most mascaras claim to give lashes the appearance of volume and length but this one actually lives up to that promise! As most of you know, I absolutely love the doll-eyed look and I always find that look pretty easy to create with a couple of coats of this mascara.

Bronzer

For my bronzer, I used Make Up For Ever’s Pro Fusion Bronze. It goes on so well and it’s quite silky in texture too which I love.

I find it great for giving skin a lovely sun-kissed look if I’m not wearing a tan.

The Tools:
sosu pro blender

To apply my makeup, I used my own brush collection from Crownbrush UK, and to blend my concealer, I used my SOSU Pro Blender.

The Pro Blender is sold out at the moment, but we are just awaiting on a stock delivery so as soon as they’re back in, I will let you guys know!

And to finish:

To finish, I spritzed on some of my favourite fragrance, Jo Malone’s Lime Basil & Mandarin. This is my signature scent! I always have it with me so there was no way I was going to go on holiday and not bring it! It’s such a fresh smell and so long lasting too.

There you have it guys, my makeup from last night!
