Hey guys,
So on Saturday I headed into Penneys (The Pavillions, Swords) to pick up some sports socks, of course I left with a large doubled up Penneys bag on the way out! What IS it about Penneys. So €140 later, I decided to show you all what I picked up.
I spent a little more on certain items compared to normal Penneys prices, so it might not look like a lot… but I know for sure I will get a lot of wear out of the denims.
1. Rust Crochet Top €12 / Cream Cami €2.50
Ok so this caught my eye the minute I came through the door. First of all, I am LOVING this rust colour lately and second of all with the new lighter hair, I have to start buying colours I might not have before. hair change usually means wardrobe and makeup change too.
If you don’t have a fashion eye, it’s hard to imagine this top on or how you would style it. So, I picked up this plain cream vest string top for underneath it and I can’t wait to wear it over a dark pair of skinnys – like the black ones we are moving on to next.
2. Black Ripped Jeans €19
I have been admiring jeans on my friends/family and their answer lately has been ‘Penneys’. Apparently they have upgraded their denim section and so I had a look to see what all the fuss was about. I am a converted Molly jean lover and so I decided to pick up a pair of these black ripped jeans to see how they wash and wear etc.
First impressions? They feel like really good quality and they have a nice stretch in them too, which is what I love. So I will keep you guys posted.
3. Indigo Ripped Boyfriend Jeans €19
At my Sligo workshop I admired a girls cool over-ripped jeans and when she told me they were from Penneys, I couldn’t believe it. When I was in there the other day, I had to pick them up. I loved the colour, I loved the oversized rips and I have been dying to get a pair since I admired that girls. Don’t they look so expensive.
TIP: I bought the 8 and they are a little big, I could have gotten away with the 6 because they have a stretch… so maybe try a size down when going for these.
4. Grey Fringe Jumper €18
I originally fell in love with the cream version and then when my eyes veered over the wall and I saw the Grey – I wanted that colour more. I LOVE grey and it suits every hair and skin tone, so I picked out an 8 and added it to my basket straight away. I love the fringe detailing too… it takes it from a plain grey jumper to something a little more.
It’s super cosy too and goes with every colour denim.
5. Off The Shoulder Top €9
I thought this was so cute when I saw it. It LOOKS noting on the hanger but I already tired it on with white, black and blue skinnys and its fab on. I also loved the little lace hem at the end too. These tops are perfect for during the day if you want to dress up a little more than normal.
5. T-Shirts €3.50 each
No pic needed….. I’m sure were all the same…. I ALWAYS raid the T-shirt tables! I pick up about 5 T’s at a time. On Saturday I chose black (long sleeve), white (short), peach (round neck) and the cream strappy top above, as well as one in black. You can never have too many T-shirts.
6. Underwear
I love little bralets (€4) for under tops for nights out. A little pop of coloured lace is always and so I picked up these two above. I also chose some nice new undies (€2 each) as I am forever buying new ones.
7. Lashes €3.50 a pack
I’ve know about the hype over the Penneys individual lashes and they LOOK super. I just find them a little curly, so I started to use these Envy ones and I LOVE them. They give a lovely natural Kylie Jenner look to eye.
Fluffy and voluminised, but natural looking too. For €3.50, you can’t go wrong, can you!
And that’s it guys….
What do you guys think?
Are any on your list?
Sure! I hope to do one soon actually xx
Hi Suzanne, just regarding the lashes.. I’ve no idea how to use them, would you ever consider doing a quick tutorial on them??
I adore ADORE Molly jeans…. i’m afraid to count how many I have…but the comfort and durability are the best I’ve come across in a long time but will have to pop to Penneys to check these jeans out!
Thank you Suzanne!x
Casually… try them with cons and a fitted t. Roll them up at the ends so they take the eye away from the length of your leg
xx
I’m fairly short (5’2) and I’ve always wanted a pair of those boyfriend jeans but I don’t know how I’d style them so they’d suit my frame, does anyone have any advice please?
