Slated for release towards the end of the year, the Annie revamp has gotten it’s first trailer, giving us our first peek at how the film will look and sound. In this updated version of the classic Broadway musical-turned-classic movie musical, Cameron Diaz stars as the jaded and snarky Miss Hannigan who runs the orphanage where Annie lives.
Gone too is daddy Warbucks, this time replaced by billionaire politician Benjamin Stacks, played by Jamie Foxx while the lead itself has gone to Quvenzhané Wallis, ten year old Oscar nominated star in only her third film role.
Annie promises heartwarming ride with a great soundtrack given to us by the movie’s producer, Jay Z, who famously sampled It’s A Hard Knocks Life before. Is this one you’ll be heading to the cinema to check out??
