Since the release of the Fifty Shades of Grey movie, there has been plenty of speculation over Jamie Dornan’s future with the franchise. Well, in an interview recently, he’s decided to address some of the rumours and criticism about the movie, which has gone on to be every bit as big a success as predicted.
With over €500 million worldwide, Universal will be keen to keep the stars of the movie involved with planned sequels, so it was a surprise lately when rumours hit that suggested Dornan could depart the project after his wife was unhappy with some of the sex scenes…not at all true it now appears.
“Total bollocks! Of course she would have read the scripts well in advance, and she’s massively supportive of Fifty Shades. The idea was that we honor the trilogy and do all three.”
As well as that, there was talk that he and Dakota Johnson shared little or no chemistry as the two main characters; something else Dornan was quick to dispute.
“They wouldn’t have shot the film with us if there was a chemistry problem… whatever chemistry means. You have to jump through a lot of hoops to get a part like this, and they simply wouldn’t have cast us.”
So, that settles that! Dornan is happy to keep going as Christian Grey, and we presume that this means the sequels are being rushed into production as we speak!
