Last week in an exciting new venture, Vogue Video launched on British Vogue’s website. “British Vogue Video combines access to world-class talent with a content strategy derived from our cultural understanding and significant luxury audience insight,” said the recently appointed director of video content at Condé Nast Britain, Danielle Bennison Brown.
Vogue Video is already everything we could ever have wanted it to be, with videos such as ‘73 Questions with Anna Wintour‘, ‘Vogue Original Shorts with Blake Lively‘ and ‘At Home in London with Kate Moss‘.
But what really has us excited about Vogue Video is the new series of films, Inside The Wardrobe. Today, Vogue Video have brought us Inside The Wardrobe of Olivia Palermo, and we are freaking out.
Her jewellery collection includes lots of statement necklaces and gold cuffs and her shoe collection includes a lot of lace up heels, Jimmy Choos and Schutz Juliana caged heels.
Olivia says a wardrobe staple for her is leather pants or a white button down chiffon shirt. “I love taking pieces like jeans and sweaters, and blazers and statements coats and re-working them and re-styling them”.
While holding out the Tibi shirt above (buy it here!) she says, “Tibi is probably my most worn designer. I wear Amy’s collection (New York based Tibi designer Amy Smilovica, that is) or a piece of it every day.”
Olivia also is a lover of Valentino, Dior and Emilia Wickstead. You can shop her trousers above from Tommy Hilfiger here. No surprise, Olivia says she’s definitely a morning person, saying, “I love my mornings and getting up early before anybody starts their day. The quiet before the storm.”
Showing off her above leather military jacket, which we’ve seen on her a million times, she says. “I love this, it’s one of my favourite pieces. It’s awesome, I just wear it with everything.” You can buy the Boda Skins Napoleon Oil black jacket she talks about here.
Olivia also showed off her Carolina Herrera jacket (worn in this Instagram post) which she said she would wear with her leather shorts and a t-shirt or turtleneck.
Her biggest fashion faux pax is an ill proportioned suit on either men or women, and she believes that really bad shoes can ruin an entire outfit.
We also loved this black blazer from Parisian brand Paul and Joe.
We wrote a Steal Her Style post on Olivia’s look the day she filmed this video (which includes her exact accessories!) which you can check out here.
