The only thing that’s going to take away our ‘Winter Blues’ is the excitement for New Season Fashion. We’ve been keeping our eyes peeled for what’s ahead. We’re ready to ditch our last season prints, hide away our sparkles til next Christmas and clear space in our wardrobe for new trends.
So without further ado, Let’s show you a little preview of what we can expect this Spring …
There’s something about Spring that makes us want to feel fresh and new. Maybe it’s all this talk of detoxing our bodies after ‘The indulging Season’, or the thoughts and hopes of the sun finally breaking through those dark clouds. While neither might actually happen, we can still LOOK fresh in cool pastel shades. Always a welcome addition after the dark and heavier trends we may have been sporting all Winter. Pastel clothing, Pastel Accessories, Pastel nails – Worn separate or together for this seasons freshest look.
2) The new Print – ‘Picnic Checks’
A sort of development on last seasons ‘Tartan’, It’s nice to have a print carry through to a new season smoothly. If you were a fan of tartan last year then you know that Picnic print is for you. Its the same style of stripes and checks but given a Spring twist by matching our picnic blanket … for all those Spring picnics we’ll definitely be having right?
3) Contrast Collars
Preppy fans can also enjoy a transitional trend in the form of ‘The Contrast Collar’. Ditch your embellished collars for a pop of contrasting colours instead. Why not combine it with #1 and use two pastel shades for double the Spring trendiness?
4) Wide Pants
This trend was hugely popular for S/S ’13 so anyone who bought into this trend can pull out their palazzo pants from the back of the wardrobe. When the weather gets cooler (Well to the point where 2 pairs of tights are no longer needed under our jeans) these pants are fresh loose and comfortable for any body shape. They can be taken from day to night with a loose blouse or tank.
5) The ‘Tea-Length Dress
I adore this style of dress. Its so cute, so dainty, so vintage and PERFECT for any Spring brides out there. The tea-length combines girliness with chic sophistication and a touch of oldschool. There’s nothing better than swirling around a dance-floor in a dress that circles you. If the whole hog isnt yourcup of tea you could try a tea length skirt instead, with a contrasting pairing – e.g edgy tank or tee with statement chain, for a combination of girly meets tough.
Of course we will keep you posted with all upcoming trends for 2014 so keep an eye out …
