I’m writing this post today in celebration of my baby Dripping Gold turning 5! 5 years since we launched our tan brand and wow, what a 5 years it’s been!
To give a bit of a backstory as to why Dripping Gold was created, us Irish ladies (and guys) love our fake tan, most of us are not blessed with a natural tan and as a fake tan lover myself, I know the importance of using a good tan, not only for the over all experience of wearing it but also for the ingredients that are being applied to your skin. It was so important to me to ensure that I was bringing a tan product to the market that was packed with skin loving ingredients that benefitted the skin as well as giving the most beautiful, natural, flawless tan. We spent 2 years working on the formula, I had to make sure that it was perfect and in 2018 we launched Dripping Gold. We started out with such a small team, myself and Dylan flew to the location to over see the first shoot and Carla was the stylist! Little did we know where we would be 5 years later. We survived a global pandemic, where people weren’t going out much and a tan re-formulation due to DHA regulations and now, with an array of products for face and body, tan toppers, accessories, skin prep & more we’re still standing and we’re getting stronger and stronger and it makes my heart so full to know that you guys love this brand as much as I do.
The last 5 years have been incredible but just to mention some of the amazing milestones we’ve reached, our amazing Wonder Water propelled the brand forward by selling out completely when we first launched. We now have over 4 different types of Wonder Water, you can shop them here.
Our most recent milestone is launching into Boots nationwide. We have just also launched our new tan that has launched to Boots exclusively to celebrate such a key milestone for the business. You can shop Hydra Whip here. Hydra Whip is our new clear tan that has no transfer to clothes or sheets and is packed with gorgeous ingredients such as hyaluronic acid along with vitamins B5, E, & A.
Last year myself, and the team, won the Beauty Industry Award in the Eir Power of Women awards for Dripping Gold – such a huge honour for me to accept this award.
Last night, my amazing team put together such an incredible event to celebrate five years of Dripping Gold. I am so proud of everyone and their hard work – It really doesn’t go unnoticed, to my team – THANK YOU.
To my husband, Dylan. My partner in crime and my co-founder of Dripping Gold – THANK YOU for always being there. For becoming my personal spray tan artist and walking alongside me through this crazy journey that is being a business owner. And to my family, friends and all you guys – the support is just incredible. THANK YOU. Every time a Dripping Gold product is purchased you’re supporting me and my business and that truly means the world to me. Thank you for your patience when we were re-formulating. We took our time with that. I wasn’t about to bring back any tan for the sake of having something on the shelves, we had to make sure it was exactly like the original but if I am honest, I think its better than ever! My heart is so full today. Reflecting back on the last 5 years and the journey its been makes me feel so proud. Here’s to the next 5 and the many more after that 💖
