This one’s for the ladies 💖
Today is a day to celebrate women, your mum, granny, wife, partner, sister, aunt, best friend – the list is endless. We are surrounded by such incredible women who show undeniable strength day in, day out.
But lets take a second. Instead of looking to appreciate the women around you, lets take this moment to appreciate you.
The woman that sits here reading this. The mom, the sister, the wife, the girlfriend, the daughter, the aunt, the one who keeps it all together, the one who is trying her best.
Today is about you. It is to celebrate all that you bring to the world. You matter and your presence in this world makes it a better place.
The rush of life can sweep us up. The busy days. Its important to take a second for ourselves and appreciate all that we do and all that we are.
Here are 5 things that you can do today, for yourself:
- Go for a walk
- Have a bath or hot shower and use all of your favourite products
- Take 30 minutes to enjoy a coffee (in peace!)
- Listen to your favourite podcast
- Meditate and listen to an affirmations soundtrack
Sometimes in life we can let the chaos take up all our time and we can start to put ourselves second to the needs of everyone else. I know, its easier said than done if you have kids or a very demanding job but when is the last time you made yourself a priority? Go out of your way to do something for yourself today, even if it is just for 5 minutes.
I would also want to take this opportunity to celebrate the wonderful women in my life. My mam, my sisters, my friends, my family, my team across SOSU Cosmetics, Dripping Gold and SoSueMe, to mention just a few. Thank you all for being a huge part of my life and my businesses. Your support has allowed me to embark on the wonderful journey I have been experiencing on Dancing with the Stars the last few weeks and for all that you do today and every day – THANK YOU!
