Dress – here
Recently, we recently held our Beauty Factor event in the Galgorm Resort just outside Belfast and it was such a great day!
The event went brilliantly, such a fun girly day, and I want to say a massive thank you to everyone who helped bring it together. The staff of the Galgorm Resort & Spa were amazing and so helpful.
Along with the Galgorm staff, The Beauty Factor team in place on the day were the backbone of the event and kept everything running smoothly. MR Makeup, Mark Rogers, was as always our ever charming and witty MC.
I want to say a massive thank you to the guests in attendance on the day. I hope you all had the most fun day and enjoyed every part of the event.
How delicious was the afternoon tea? So divine!
I also want to say a big thank you to the brands who got involved in our goodie bags for this event. To win this goodie bag, just pop your name in the comment box below! (competition now closed. Thanks to all who entered here and on the facebook page. Congratulations to Christina McVerry. Christina, please get in touch with us on [email protected])
Here’s what each goodie bag included.
Redken Mega Recovery Mask Cap
Redken gave everyone their Mega Recovery Mask Cap which is designed to “quench and revive severely dry hair.”
It promises intense moisture so it really nourishes the hair and leaves it feeling more manageable.
Mungo Murphy Nourishing Seaweed Mask
Each attendee got a nourishing seaweed face mask jar from Mungo Murphy Seaweed which contains enough powder for 5 masks. The masks are all completely natural, and because they’re made from seaweed, they do wonders for the skin.
When I was studying beauty therapy I remember hearing how phenomenal seaweed is for the skin, so I’m looking forward to trying out this mask one of the nights.
Simple Hydro-Booster Serum
The serum is super lightweight on the skin and gets rid of dryness, but it can also be used prior to moisturiser as a primer, or mixed with moisturiser for that extra boost of hydration. If you are looking to give your skin added moisture, this would be well worth checking out.
essence cosmetics gave each attendee their I Love Extreme Mascara, which is waterproof and has a long lasting formula.
The extra large brush also helps give the lashes plenty of lift and volume!
Alfa Parf Milano Leave in Spray with almond & pistachio
Alfa Parf Milano’s Leave In-Spray from was also included in each goodie bag. This is perfect for coloured hair, and it’s so nourishing.
It also contains almond & pistachio as well, so it has the most gorge scent.
Nivea gave everyone a great mix of products: 2 in 1 Cleanser and Toner, the Pearl & Beauty Deodorant, and their Face Cleansing Wipes.
Their 2 in 1 Cleanser and Toner and the cleansing wipes are particularly effective for when you’re in a rush and don’t have ages to spend on your skincare routine, (or when you’re in a hurry to get to bed at night and need to clean your skin thoroughly but fast!)
Primark gave everyone their Hydro Gel Masque.
As I said on my Insta Stories, I haven’t used it yet but I have heard really good things about it so will be giving this a go myself.
If you were following my vlogs at Christmas, you will remember me talking about Mitchum deodorant when I went grocery shopping in Tesco. This is the one I always pick up.
It keeps you so fresh, leaves no white marks, and is definitely worth trying out if you perspire quite a bit.
Vichy Dermablend Slow Age Moisturiser
Vichy gave everyone a sample size of their Dermablend Slow Age Moisturiser. This is their most powerful probiotic skincare and it also contains SPF which is another big plus.
It also aims to prevents and correct the appearance of ageing signs.
Flormar gave everyone their New Age matte liquid lipstick.
The colour is such a stunning berry shade and makes for a seriously super glam statement lip.
Belle & Beau
Each attendee got such a pretty bracelet from Belle & Beau. My mum wore hers on the day of the workshop and fell absolutely in love with it!
The brand is available in pharmacies nationwide.
Kit Kat Luxury Senses sample trio
Kit Kat recently unveiled a brand new sharing box called Luxury Senses, and we were delighted for each attendee to try it out.
If you haven’t tried them, you need to check them out. They’re DIVINE!
Jane from my favourite hair salon, Red Velvet, very kindly gave everyone in attendance a voucher for €50 euro off hair extensions.
Red Velvet have salons in Ballyboughal and Malahide
Monds gave everyone their very popular underarm protective sheets.
These are great if you are wearing silk shirt and want to prevent perspiration stains or even stains from temporary tan.
Dr Paw Paw
A tube of Dr Paw Paw was also in each goodie bag. This multi use balm can be used to soften skin, or to moisturise lips. It’s a God send!
Maria Lucia Granola Pots
Breakfast fave, Maria Lucia Granola, very kindly gave each attendees one of her deliciously fab granola pots.
Her granola pots are free from gluten, wheat and dairy, and best of all, they’re so yum!
Good4U Protein Balls
They come in two super-tasty flavours, mint & cocao, and, cocao and orange.
SOSU By SJ
At each workshop, we always include SOSU by SJ products in the goodie bags. For this workshop, we had the Eyelash Glu along with one of our most popular style of lashes, the Sara lashes.
On the day, we had a number of fab spot prizes from brands as well as local businesses.
