All The Details: Last Night’s Makeup!

Hi guys

Hope you’re all had a great week back after the Easter.

I’m currently finished packing as we’re heading home early in the morning so I figured I would do a blog post on my makeup look last night.

Here are all the details of what I used, but if you have any questions at all, just pop them in the comment box below and I will try to answer them during my flight home. (the great thing about flying long haul is that they have WiFi! 🙂 )

Foundation:

First, I applied the essence 16h Stay All Day Foundation using my Kabuki brush SF101 from my own SOSU By Suzanne Jackson brush collection.

I was introduced to this foundation by essence when they asked me to try their new Spring/Summer collection and choose my favourites for a makeup look for Instagram. I have been testing the products since I got them and I was really impressed with this foundation.

Because I was wearing fake tan, I created the foundation shade I wore by mixing shades 15 Soft Creme and 30 Soft Sand. This gave me a slightly darker but dewy look that was perfect for night time. And before anyone asks, no, I was not paid to feature essence in this blog post. The job was simply to create a look from their new collection and feature it on Instagram, which I did the other day 🙂

Contour:

Next, for my contour, I used my own SOSU By SJ cream stick in the shade warm. I applied this using the brush SF102.

To set, I used the essence mattifying powder using my brush SF104. To bronze, I used the bronzer from my Complete Contour Palette and applied this, again using my brush SF104. I love this bronzer, it’s buildable and gives the most gorgeous matte sunkissed glow.

Blush & Highlight:

For my blush, I used Metal Fusion Blush by Kiko in the shade 5, it’s a beautiful peach tone, I applied this using my brush SF104. This blush is insane!! I got it over here in Kiko in Dubai and I’m obsessed.

My highlighter is from my SOSU Highlighter Kit. I used my favourite shade combo – Peach Smoothie on the cheeks too and then Shooting Star on cheekbones, and I applied both of these using the fan brush SD304.

Eyes:

For my eye makeup, I used the Hot Fire Palette shades: Ignite, Embers, Depth and then Pot of Gold all over the lid. I then brought all the colours (apart from Pot of Gold) down underneath my eyes for a subtle smokey effect.

For my eye makeup, I used the brushes: SE201/SE202/SE203/SE205.

I find SE204 great for packing on the colour and then I blend it out using SE201. SE205 is great for blending out the colour just below the lower lash line.

To complete the eye makeup, I applied my Kendal lashes using my SOSU tweezers & glue.

For my brows, I used Benefit’s Brow Zings in shade 5 and I applied this using my brow & spoolie brush SE207.

Lips:

My lip liner is MAC’s Boldly Bare. Before applying lipstick, I always like to use the liner to colour in my lips. I just find the colour lasts that bit longer.

My lip gloss and lip colour for last night’s look was essence Colour Boost in the shade Woodshed Rosy. Such a gorgeous shade and great colour pay off too. So hard to believe it’s from such a budget brand! Highly recommend it.

There you have it, guys! All the deets

Have a great evening!
