“What are your top five products?” It’s a question I am always asked! The thing is, my favourite five are always susceptible to change because I am forever trying and testing lots of new beauty gems.
As you already know, a product has to really impress me in order for it to become a staple item within my beauty bag, so here are the five I think I will ALWAYS love!
1. Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer – Barneys New York – ($48) €38
This little pot of magic is worth its weight in gold. Seriously guys, it totally brightens up the complexion and a little of it goes a very long way, so even though it’s on the pricey side, you do get great value for money.
The product can be used as either a concealer or a foundation, but whatever capacity it is used in, it definitely lives up to its name of being a skin enhancer. It boosts tired skin, by giving it the most amazing glow. You can read my full review of it here.
I was first introduced to it earlier this year by the owner of Mise Beauty in Dundalk who sent it to me after I carried out a talk there, but it was only when I was in New York and noticing the impact of jet lag on my face that I decided to put it to the test. Honestly, I couldn’t get over the difference it made! It’s amazing!
The Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer can be purchased HERE
2. Rimmel Glam’Eyes Liquid Eye Liner – Boots – €6.99
Rimmel’s Glam’Eyes liquid liner is my favourite bargain buy.
Whether you want to create a dramatic cat eye flick, or to just give the eye some subtle definition, you can do it with this liquid liner.
It glides on so easily and it stays in place for ages too. You will always find this in my makeup bag when I’m on the go!
3. Jo Malone Vitamin E Lip Conditioner – Selfridges / Brown Thomas – €30
Best. Lip. Treatment. Ever!
As I often suffer from dry lips, lip balms have become a staple part of my handbag.
I’m pretty much addicted to them at this stage, and have about a billion of them all over the place, but Jo Malone’s Vitamin E Lip Conditioner is by far my favourite.
It can be purchased HERE.
4. theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer Highlighter – Cloud 10 Beauty – €19
theBalm’s Mary Lou Manizer highlighter has such a beautiful warm glow, and a tiny dusting of it will go a long way! Best of all, it stays in place for ages, so you don’t need to keep reapplying.
I especially love to dust it on the tops of my cheekbones and on the Cupids Bow of my upper lip.
I’m a big fan of theBalm products in general, but the Mary Loumanizer is definitely a firm favourite, so much so, that it earned a place in the list of my top five favourite highlighters.
It can be purchased here
5. NYC Big Bold Mascara – Available from pharmacies nationwide – €5.11
I love products that help create strikingly dramatic eyes, and this mascara from NYC is definitely one such product. I wear it whenever I am going out. In fact, when it comes to mascaras, this is definitely a favourite of mine. You can layer it on and it won’t clump. It also makes my lashes look really long, so big thumbs up from me!
It’s a great secret weapon to have in your handbag!
If you want to see the mascara in action, I used it as part of a Youtube video where I demonstrated how to create a golden smoky eye.
There you have it guys, my favourite five!
Hope you enjoyed it!
