WATCH: How I Style My Hair!

FullSizeRender (2)

Hey guys – Hope your week is going well? 🙂

Some of you may by now how much I LOVE using new hair styling tools!

I don’t know about you guys, but when my friends and I were teenagers, our only choices of hair styling tools were our mother’s curling tongs for wavy hair, or the clothes iron for straight hair! I think every 90’s girl had to suffer the indignity of straightening her hair on an ironing board while trying not to scorch it! Haha!

Maybe that’s why I appreciate hair styling tools so much now, and Lord knows I have tried a ton of them. So you can imagine my excitement when I was offered the chance to film a tutorial using the new Easilocks Hair Hero styling tool for you guys.

I had heard a lot about the Hair Hero in recent months, and I was dying to find out what it was like, especially since Binky Felstead from Made In Chelsea was signed up as the face of the product (I love her hair!)

So the Hair Hero creates three looks – straight, wavy and curly. It is literally like a wand and a hair straightener all in one, which is a total space saver especially if you travel a lot like me.  If you want to see me create these looks, just check out the video below!

From my own experience of using it, I have to say The Hair Hero doesn’t just straighten the hair, it gives you a very sleek look, which you can see for yourselves in the video.

You don’t have to keep running it through your hair either. Because both the clamp and the barrel are heated, you get double the heat and so you only have to run the plates through the hair once, maybe twice at most, which is pretty impressive! This also means less breakage in the hair.

Wavy:

I love the wavy, boho look and I am in total envy of any girl whose hair is naturally like that! If like me, you love the wavy style, then have a look at how I created it using the Hair Hero. It’s ridiculously easy and the loose curl you get at the end is so pretty and long lasting. You just wrap the hair around the barrel like you would with a wand and within seconds, you have a tousled curl.

I much prefer the Hair Hero to the wand, because the Hair Hero’s rubber grip means it doesn’t burn my fingers!

In the video, you may notice that I hold the curl in my hand for a moment or two before I let it fall. This is to help lock the heat in that little bit longer so as to ensure the curl lasts!

Bouncy curls:

Loose Hollywood curls are a total hair classic so any tool that helps me create the look with ease is a winner in my books! For a tighter curl, all you have to do is open the clamp in the Hair Hero and wind the hair around it as you would with a tongs. As I mentioned earlier in the post, both plates are heated so you get a stronger longer lasting curl.

In the video, I also show you how to curl your fringe. This is the one part of the hair that girls struggle with a lot, but once you know how to do it right, it’s actually very simple!
