Hello everyone… I’m home!
What a fantastic time I had in NYC, possibly one of the best experiences I have had to date.
It’s true when people say New York is a world of its own…. busy, fast paced, exciting, interesting, and so different to anywhere else. If you haven’t been yet, get onto Tour America and get booking, you won’t be disappointed.
If you didn’t know I was away in NYC, then you can read my NYC blog update one here, two here and three here.
Obviously I didn’t go into too much detail while I was away because the content is for my second SoSueMe book which I will be launching in early November. It will contain a detailed a NYC and NYFW chapter. Are you excited? I am 🙂
Anyway… onto some makeup and product info. I have such a little gem to tell you all about; one you will thank me for later.
On the last few nights in NYC, I noticed that my skin had become very tired looking, and was starting to lack that glow that it usually has. I think this was all down to the killer jet lag. For the first 3 days, I had found it hard to adjust, and this all took its toll on my skin during the latter part of the week.
The two foundations I wore for most of my trip, which a lot of you admired, were Makeup Forever HD foundation & The Chanel Vitalumiere mixed together – I absolutely LOVE these two foundations, and, mixed together, they are the dream formula. Despite the help of these amazing foundations however, I still noticed my skin dulling a bit.
Fortunately, I had a huge makeup bag with me, and in it I remembered there was a Kevyn Aucoin Skin Enhancer in there thanks to Mise Beauty in Dundalk. I done a talk at this salon some months ago and the lovely owner sent me some goodies afterwards. I had heard RAVE reviews about this little pot of magic on YouTube and when I used it, I immediately understood why.
So what exactly is this pot of magic??
It is a blemish-defying formula that doubles as a foundation, but it truly excels as a concealer. Some use it as foundation, others as a concealer. Personally, I found it too heavy to use solely as a foundation.
As a skin enhancer, concealer or just something with which to cover tired skin and give you that glow again… my God it does exactly that! SUPER impressive product.
The Sensual Skin Enhancer was created to mimic the appearance of healthy, radiant skin. It can be also be used as a spot concealer and a highlighter (choose a shade lighter than your actual skin tone) or mixed with your moisturiser for a tinted moisturiser effect – the possibilities are endless!
Honey and jojoba oil create a soft, dewy finish as well as lend themselves to the formula’s silky texture. The good news is, a little goes a LONG way and you only need a dab of this miracle worker to give you glowing skin. I applied it over my main foundation on the areas that looked tired i.e, my T-Zone area and under my eyes, and the results left me so impressed.
The Skin Enhancer is available in a whopping 16 shades so you are bound to find the right one for you. The shade I use is 08.
The Kevyn Aucoin Skin Enhancer can be purchased here for €36
Let me know if you decide purchase this! You will not be disappointed!
Happy Shopping!
