Following on from Sue’s strobing article yesterday, we are back with a very informative article featuring our all highlighting faves – but in a DUPE!
Strobing has inspired us here at SoSueMe.ie to blog about some brilliant highlighting dupes! After all, who doesn’t love a good bargain.
The list below includes some great cheap alternatives if you are going on holiday to achieve that sun-kissed dewy look, or even great products for photographs on a night out.
1. Seventeen Instant Glow Shimmer Brick
Coming in at a thrifty €6.29 is the Seventeen shimmer brick. This is a great dupe for the Mac Global Glow in terms of the colour pay off, and also of the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick with similar packaging and pigment. A great buy for highlighting cheekbones, collar bones and even your shoulders, shins etc (sure you can use it just about anywhere at a price like that).
A must have summer buy in our opinion. 🙂
2. L’oreal Magic Lumi Primer
Next is a dupe on a cult favourite, Mac Strobe Cream. Coming in at nearly €20 cheaper (yay!) is the L’oreal Magic Lumi Primer at €14.99. This primer (like strobe) provides a light reflecting dewy base on the skin which looks gorgeous under foundation and even on it’s own. It can also be mixed in with your foundation to instantly create a glow or to lift a matte foundation. This dupe would seriously give Strobe a run for it’s money!
3. W7 Hollywood Bronze & Glow
Lastly but certainly now least is our biggest super saving dupe at an amazing €62.50 cheaper than it’s original, the W7 Hollywood Bronze & Glow. Although we find it quite hard to get our hands on as it sells out so quickly due it’s striking similarities with the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow, this product is brilliant!
It will of course never be quite as good as the Tilbury version, but it gives great colour pay off and has a gorgeous shimmery pigment. It is beautiful used as a soft highlighter and would be a great one for brides on a budget. A must have in our make-up kits!
