My January Favourites!

2a

Hi guys!

We’re nearly at the weekend!

Can you believe it’s the 21st of January already? This month is flying!

I just want to say a big thank you to everyone who came to my talk in UCC last night! I enjoyed it so much and the big bonus was the lovely feedback I received on Twitter afterwards!

Anyway, today I decided to do a post on my January favourites.

Nude Sandals

When I was in the Maldives, you might remember I brought a pair of nude strappy sandals with me. Definitely one of the best things I packed because they went with EVERYTHING! Jeans, dresses … there isn’t any look or shade that they won’t go with.

I actually wore mine a lot this month, but even if you’re not one for wearing sandals at this time of year, they would be well worth picking up in time for Spring, which thankfully isn’t too far off! They have a lovely height and believe it or not, but they’re really comfortable too!

Over-Sized Blazer Coat

I have practically been LIVING in my black over-sized blazer coat which I picked up in Zara just before Christmas. It’s one of those items that goes perfect with a fedora and either jeans or leather trousers.

This type of over-sized blaer coat is always on trend so it never dates. I’m actually going to pick up a few more of them.

Here are two I have my eye on at the moment: Black – here / Camel – here

YSL Eye Couture Primer

I spoke about this YSL Eye Couture Primer in my brow tutorial. It’s a wonderful eyeshadow primer but I also personally love to use it to clean up my brows so that I get that nice HD look.

Charlotte Tilbury

If you’re following me on Snapchat (sosueme_ie), you will remember I picked up a few Charlotte Tilbury products last Friday, one of which was the Magic Foundation. I bought shade number 7, which is yellow-based. I had heard a lot of good things about this foundation and I have to say, after having used it a few times now, I do really like it.

It gives a dewy, light finish but yet offers good coverage at the same time.

The foundation is very buildable too so if you want extra coverage, all you have to do is apply another layer. You don’t need to worry about it looking too cakey or heavy. This foundation doesn’t have that type of texture.

Benefit’s Gimme Brow

Another product I referenced in my brow tutorial was Benefit’s Gimme Brow.

I have been using this for so long now, I don’t know what I would do if they ever discontinued it! I haven’t been able to live without the stuff since I first reviewed it! Even when I’m not wearing any makeup, I will still always style my brows using Gimme Brow.

It’s great for giving my brows definition, and the gel really keeps them in place. It’s also the perfect handbag size too which is always a plus!

So there you have it guys, my January faves!

Hope you enjoyed it!
